Hey all,

We're still in the beta phases of our Virtual Repair Café, but so far we've had 20 requests for repairs, 10 successful repairs, several still in progress, and only one item that was beyond our help. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we've been doing a mix of remote and drop-off repairs. If we can help you over the phone or Zoom, that's the preferred option, but no-contact pickup and drop-off of items can still get the job done with minimal chance of spreading the virus.

We're hoping to expand outside of our initial test group of Cville Makes and Cville TimeBank members soon, so stay tuned! Until then, check out this awesome document that one of our fixers, Ryan, made to illustrate the repair he did on a repairee's toaster.

As we're gearing up for a Remote Repair Café here in Cville, I thought I'd share this recent article from Apartment Therapy about how to repair broken lamps.

Since lamps are one of the most common items that need fixing at the Repair Café the Cville Time Bank puts on twice a year, this seemed like a good article to share with anyone looking for an easy place to start doing some of their own repair work.

Keep on keepin' on through isolation, and look for more details soon about the Remote Repair Café!
